Totally Confused?! Please Help!

Question

Okay well last year i took a visual arts class at my high school. I cant really draw that well but i figured it'd be fun and it was. We did a section on computer art, we used photo shop and created designs. I really loved it and would love to be able to select that as my career. what exactly is that called? graphic artist? I'm totally confused. can anybody explain this and maybe give me a few colleges that specialize in this. any help is much appreciated!! thanks!

Its Graphic Design, Maybe Virginia Tech (Technology) may be a good college (Not so sure)

That's called graphic arts and yes, it's done by graphic artists.

There are probably several colleges in your area that teach computer-aided drawing or graphic arts. Use those as search terms.

The biggest, most well-respected school for graphic arts is arguably the Rhode Island School Of Design (RISD).
