Totally grossed out by metal silverware?

Hi, I just wanted to say that I am totally grossed out by metal silverware. When I go out to resturants I always bring plastic and I even use plastic in my own home ( dishes, bowls, utencils, EVERYTHING.) My family things I'm weird but I actually think I have a point. I mean, how gross is it to put the same piece of metal in your mouth that someone else has? Especially in a busy resturant? I know they have dish washers, but it still stimulates my gag reflex. Is there anyone else out there like me??? ( I seriously want to know!)

Metal utensils have an advantage - you can scald them in boiling water to sanitize them better than you can plastic.

But, if this is something you think you will never get past - always ask for take-out, they put it in new styrofoam containers, and only order Chinese so you get new chopsticks each time.

see a shrink!!!....you're only telling us about this small part of your life. but chances are you have many other issues like this. you'll end up living your life in a box if you continue to let things like this affect you!
