Totally ridiculous waitress..what was this all about?

Question

My wife and I went to an upscale restaurant in the city for an anniversary meal.

We made reservations, showed up, got seated, etc everything fine. The waitress comes over, cordially introduces herself, takes our drink orders. She bring the drinks back, and I tell her that I want to order the Salmon with lemon cream sauce.

She becomes absolutely irate, SCREAMING at me, top of her lungs in the middle of the restaurant:

"Cash rules everything around me! CREAM! Get the money, dollar dollar bill!! Salmon? Who is you! Who the F is you thinking you is?

WTF? I was mortified, shocked, embarrased and actually ****** back to smack her (I had been drinking and no one talks to me like that) but my wife stopped me.

Has anyone ever had anything happen like this? Totally ridiculous experience!!! I did complain to management and she was fired, according to the GM. And I was given a $100.00 gift cert. for compensation.

Well, if somebody told me that story, I probably wouldn't believe it... The waitresses words just seem so sense...nothing even fits together!  In such a case, I probably would have walked out of the restaurant and contacted the owner/GM of the restaurant immediately.!  Funny story, however!

Wow If you are serious that is totaly uncalled for.. I have never had that happen to me before.. but they should have doen more for you and the people around you .. I am sure that it lookedbad to everyone..

The fact that you refer to yourself as "thegod" tells me that you may not have the world's greatest personality.  Perhaps you did something to annoy your waitress.  And you were actually going to HIT her?  If you had "smacked" her, she would have had grounds for a lawsuit against you.  Just because she screamed at you doesn't give you the right to hit her.

Sounds to me like your waitress moonlights at the gas station where you bought gas. You told the same lie last week about the attendant at the gas station. Grow up kid and stop telling lies!

No, Ive never had anything like that happen before.  Sounds like she might have been mentally unbalanced to me.  h**l, you shouldnt have had to complain to management if she did it in front of all those people, they should have run out, fired her on the spot, and been begging for your forgiveness (as well as that of all the other diners who had to witness the event).

im a waitress at a nice upsacle resturant and for someone to have blown up on you and made you feel that way....... she just had either a bad fight with her boyfriend or boss  to p**s her off or she was looking to get fired.
