If it's the "Fat cats" putting them up, are they hoping to make a quick "Buck", don't they realise that without us, they have no future?

  1. The price of fuel has lots to do with this. Unfortunatley products like food , gas, milk etc. travel from place to place in trailers and they run on diesel fuel which happens to be more expensive than regular fuel, thus causing prices to go up higher to be able to get these nessecities from place to place.

  2. True. I joined Petrolprices.com and everyday for 4 days now the cheapest has gone up a penny.

  3. Its the Green agenda. Raise the price of gas to discourage the use of it and reduce carbon emissions. The petrol executives thought it was a good idea. Now everyone pays higher gas prices and it particularly hits the people who produce the food and bring it to market. They gotta make a living too so the price of everything goes up.

To all you Greens out there I hope you freeze in the dark.

  4. Because, because, because...if you are willing to pay a bit more, then a bit more becomes a lot more. And if "a lot more" is only being noticed now, how long have you been paying too much?

  5. The rising cost of fuel for delivering the goods to the shops is past on to you

  6. It is down to the huge increase of fuel prices!

Avoid buying fuel  from ESSO and BP petrol stations, these are the two main companies that  are increasing their prices!!

Therefore, making other petrol stations increase their price!

So it is simple, buy from the supermarket, it is not hard, you must go there regularly!

There is a frigging tesco on every corner!

They are taking over from the p.........neva mind!

Ask Gartom..........she will agree with me for sure!

  7. its because the value of money changes. If money is worth less then when we need to pay more to pay for something, even though we get paid the same

  8. It all stems from the cost of fuel, that goes up then so does everything

  9. It's the domino effect...prices go up mostly because of transportation costs.

  10. Yes I had this discussion the other day with my mates - The cost of everything is going up - from the food you put on your table to the fuel you put in your car! The only thing that aren't increasing are house prices and our wages as employees. I want to become a MP then then I wont have to worry about the grocerys I'll just put them on my expences

  11. Its going to sound a little bit like a cop out but its all the governments fault.

Lets take a couple of examples:-

    1) the government has imposed the highest tax rates of fuel in the whole of Europe.

    2) the government decided that it would be a good idea to tax all new oil field developments in the north sea at 75%, so guess what the oil companies have not opened up any new oil fields.

    3) the government decided to invade both Iraq and Afghanistan with no exit plan, so the cost in lives and money continues to increase and has to be paid for from the revenue from fuel etc.

    4) the government decided to force people to stop smoking, so when they did the vat revenue dropped and had to be made up else ware.

In short this government has borrowed and spent up to there limit, as a result when there is an increase in the raw cost of fuel the government cannot do any thing to off set the rises.

    Ja.

  12. That is a silly question Elric!  It is because fuel prices have shot up and it has a knock on effect on everything - transport costs rise therefore food etc prices rise and of course it gets passed on to us - the consumer.

  13. This is pure non-sense, pretty soon,  we won't be able to eat  at less we have  two jobs, and, i  saw on the news last night in the UK, or England, one of the two, that the gas over there was nine dollars, a gallon, my lord, we all need help. peace out.

  14. i think the answer is in the fact he that the world is multiplying like rabbits ( reason lost)!
