Tottenham Hotspur's manager Harry Redknapp insists his side is at par with Arsenal: EPL News
Tottenham Hotspur boss has insisted that his side has come out stronger than ever this season and are no longer in the shadow of their London rivals, ahead of the North London derby. He claimed that Spurs have improved a lot in
the last two years and can match any team in Europe, after their brilliant UEFA Champions League campaign this season.
Tottenham Hotspur will take on Arsenal in the North London derby at White Hart Lane in a Premier League fixture on Wednesday, April 20. The clash is crucial for both sides as Arsenal look to keep the title race on, whereas Tottenham
fight for the final UEFA Champions League place with Manchester City.
Redknapp believes his side has shown massive growth in the past two seasons and is now capable of competing with the top teams. The Spurs qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history and made many heads
turn when they reached the quarter-finals, eventually losing to Real Madrid.
“As a club, we’ve moved on over the last couple of years. We’ve been up there now in that top four, top five. The point gap between us and Arsenal has now closed. Every year, Arsenal had Champions League football. Now we have to
make sure we are in there challenging every year for it. And there’s no reason we can’t do that,” the former West Ham manager said.
The manager stated that last year’s double over Arsenal was crucial in the Spurs’ qualification for the Champions League and this year it is the same. Tottenham defeated the Gunners 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium courtesy of a late

“The two victories against them last year were massive for us. To even get to Man City we had to beat Arsenal and we had to beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 - just to even have a chance. But we did it. Now we have to do it again,” he concluded.
Tottenham are currently in fifth place with 53 points and are three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, having a game in hand.
