Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas extends his contract – English Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/William-Gallas-c36874, has inked a two-year extension to his existing contract with club which will make him the club’s property till the end of the 2012-13 season.
Gallas joined the Spurs on a free transfer at the start of the 2010-11 season after Arsenal refused to give him a new contract following his dismal performances in the 2009-10 season. The former Chelsea defender has made 26 appearances for the Spurs this season, despite being hampered by injury problems throughout the season. His impressive performances have helped Tottenham seal a quarter-final place in the club’s first ever UEFA Champions League showing. The North London side is in fifth position in the league table and is fighting to finish fourth to get a Champions League place for next season.

The French international has had a very unsettling time in the last two years after he was stripped of the captaincy at Arsenal following his row with several players.
