Scorer of seven goals in 18 Ligue 1 games, France international Loic Remy has played a huge part in Olympique de Marseille’s revival in Ligue 1 fortunes. Following a poor start to the Ligue 1 campaign, along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ghana-c2905 international Andre Ayew, Loic Remy
brought some much needed sanity to Marseille’s performances.
The centre-forward has certainly given many headaches to opposing defenders so far this season and it seems that the repercussions of his performances have been felt beyond the Stade Velodrome.
Remy has developed rapidly this campaign and has improved his aerial ability which is a testament to his willingness to keep on improving.
However, it appears that the youngster is attracting a lot of interest from the other side of the English Channel.
Reports now claim that London giants, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on bringing the player to White Hart Lane this January. Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp had earlier indicated his desire to bring in at least two big-name players to the club in a bid to
compete for the English Premier League title.
The English manager has now eyed Remy as one of those players who could take the club to the next level that Redknapp’s been talking about for the past two seasons.
Reports suggest that Russian International Roman Pavlyuchenko might be offered to Olympique de Marseille in a bid to lure Remy away from the Stade Velodrome. RMC claims that Marseille would not let go of the player if they are not able to sign a new striker
and Didier Deschamps might not want the Russian striker in his squad.
Furthermore, it seems that luring Remy away from the club could prove to be an impossible task for this season at least as Deschamps would certainly not be willing to let go of a player who has only just started realising his true potential.
Furthermore, with Andre Ayew set to leave the club in order to represent Ghana in the African Cup of Nations, the departure of Remy could seriously weaken the side.
