Tottenham Hotspur looking to tempt Newcastle United over Andy Carroll
Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be looking to step up their pursuit of landing Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll. The team had been looking to secure the services of the player earlier; however, Newcastle were never really
looking let go of the striker back then. However, with the club now under new management, most of the players at Newcastle, including Andy Carroll are reported to be looking for a move away from the team, in honour of their former manager.
As a result, Tottenham feel that it is either now or never, if they hope to secure the striker’s services. The team are reported to be willing to spend as much as fifteen million pounds for the player. The fact that the team are
willing to part with only fifteen million for one of the brightest upcoming talents in the world came as a shock to most; however, Harry Redknapp later went on to add that he was willing to include http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Bentley-c10435 in the deal, in hopes to even
out the players transfer fee.
According to most experts, the only possible explanation for Newcastle to accept such a deal would be under the circumstances that Carroll himself pushes through with the deal. This is because Carroll, even on his worst day for
the team, has proven to be better than Keane has over the last season or two. Moreover, Bentley seems to be a player that no team wants and Redknapp is just looking to make him a part of every possible deal that he can think of.
Newcastle, at the moment, are doing rather well in the middle of the park and up-front and as a result, they don't appear to be in the desperate need to let go of one of their prized assets, in order to land some cash and two has-beens.
At the current moment, the only way that Carroll may be on his way to White Hart Lane is if the Newcastle owner, Mike Ashley decides to cash in on the team's most valuable player in hopes of making some extra money. However, the
chances of that happen to be slim to none despite Newcastle's current financial state. Nonetheless, it is a wait for another few weeks to see if this deal actually goes through or not.
