He admitted that the Spurs are hanging by a thread in the UEFA Champions League but they would give their 100 per cent when they take on Real Madrid in the second leg of their quarter-final tie on Wednesday, 13 April, 2011.

He mentioned that the Spurs have already come a long way after inflicting defeats upon the Serie A leaders AC Milan in the round of 16 and Inter Milan in the group stages.
He demanded more support from his fans and assured them of the club’s success with the passage of time. He praised the current Spurs team and believed that both the players and officials should be given a lot of credit for achieving some great results in
the Champions League after qualifying for the first time.

have quality and we are a great team.”
The 25-year-old confirmed that no player would be leaving the club even if the North London side does not qualify for the last four of the Champions League. He stressed that all the players have plenty of time remaining on their contracts and they would
all gel together to make Spurs a European superpower.
Modric insisted that Tottenham would do their level best in order to confirm their participation in next year’s Champion League.
He added, “We are close but it is still in front of us, if we stay together. We need to take the positives from the Champions League and try to put everything into next season, learn from our mistakes and try to fight to win the title – but it’s not easy.”
Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 53 points and are three points behind the fourth placed Manchester City with seven games remaining in the ongoing 2010-11 season.
