In the January transfer window of last season, Adebayor was loaned out to La Liga giants Real Madrid for the remainder of the season. The Togolese striker did surprisingly well at the Bernabeu, making 22 appearances in all competitions and scoring 8 goals.
Despite a decent performance for Madrid, Jose Mourinho did not make an attempt to sign Adebayor on a more permanent basis and so he returns to Manchester City. striker on a loan move for the upcoming season.
Redknapp already has an abundance of strikers at White Hart Lane, with the likes of Robbie Keane, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Pavlyuchenko-c31639, and Niko Kranjcar all competing for a place in the starting line-up. However, the English manager is looking
to offload some of his strike force, which is why he has agreed to sign Adebayor.

with a move away, having failed to make much of an impression last season.
Last but not least, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Niko-Kranjcar-c27926 is most likely expected to be on his way to the Stadium of Light after Sunderland boss Steve Bruce admitted interest in the Croatian forward. That leaves Redknapp with space to bring in another striker and he seems to have
decided on Adebayor.
