Tottenham Hotspur star player Gareth Bale revealed he felt London rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 were a weaker side, after the Spurs established a 2-1 win at White Hart Lane. The Gunners travelled to Tottenham Hotspur in the first north London derby of the new season and departed with an unconvincing performance and zero points.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Manchester City respectively in the summer transfer window. Despite some new last minutes signings, Arsenal do not seem like a top four side this season.
Bale said while speaking to reporters:
“Arsenal have lost a few players, which makes them more beatable I think as that has damaged the way they play.
We exposed that. I think keeping your best players is a massive thing. They are used to how you play and what you do. It is vitally important to do that and build your team around them.”
The 22-year-old revealed he felt the departure of the experienced players was what had caused the Gunners to stumble to the horrific 8-2 loss to Manchester United earlier on in the season. They have not seemed to recover from the big loss and the failure to secure any points last weekend sees them near the bottom of the English Premier League table.
In comparison to Arsenal, their London rivals have done considerably well; both Tottenham Hotspur and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are in the top half of the Premier League table. The Spurs have now managed four consecutive wins in the Premier League and seem to be improving with every fixture.
Bale said he still considered Arsenal to be a decent side, but felt they had a lot of improvement before they could claim to be title contenders once again. The left-back c*m winger predicted the Gunners to regain their top-four status in another season or two.
Bale continued:
“They are still a great team. They haven't had the best of starts but I am sure they will improve.
They have a lot of young players who are going to grow up in the next season or two and learn a lot. I am sure they will be fine.”
