Tottenham playmaker and long time http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857 admitted there was a small chance he could be leaving White Hart Lane in the upcoming winter transfer window.
The Croatian is a target for not only the Blues but also Manchester United, who are reportedly interested in the services of the 26-year-old. He has also been offered a contract extension by the Spurs, which he is yet to sign, but revealed he was not aware
of the rumours linking him with a move away.
Modric said while speaking to reporters:
“All this talk is just in the press - I don't know anything about any of these supposed offers.”
However since Modric has not yet signed the contract extension with Tottenham, the attacking midfielder admitted there was a slight possibility that he could leave the London side in January. According to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 international there was still a chance
he could leave Tottenham Hotspur.
He revealed:
“I would always say that, theoretically, there is a small chance I could leave, if the club receive a suitable offer and it's one I wouldn't want to turn down, but the reality is that I expect to stay at Spurs until June, and then we will see.”
It remains to be seen where Modric will end up if he does decide to leave Tottenham Hotspur, who blocked his move to Chelsea in the summer. Not only did Modric hand in a transfer request, he made his desire to leave the club public.
However, the club management, chairman http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Levy in particular claimed there was no way the Spurs would let one of their best players leave. They refused to accept his transfer request and challenged him to remain with the London side until the end of
his career.
Modric did as he was told, but with the January transfer window approaching the Croatian is aware he has another chance to leave the club. He admitted there was a slight chance that could happen, but he was currently focused on doing his best for the Spurs.
Modric continued:
“Everything is possible, but it's not something I'm concerning myself with. So long as I am fit and playing well, I'm happy just to see what happens. If I stay at Tottenham, nothing will change. I will give my all in every game.”
