Tottenham Hotspur striker, Peter Crouch, has urged Manchester City to play an open and attacking game when the Spurs travel to the City of Manchester Stadium for a crucial Premier League encounter on May 10, 2011.
Tottenham played a 3-3 draw against Arsenal on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. A win could have taken the North Londoners equal on points with Manchester City, who now lead the Spurs by two points. With only six matches left to play in the season, both teams
are on course to battle it out for a fourth place finish in order to seal a UEFA Champions League spot.
City have been criticised for playing a defensive game in their important matches. Roberto Mancini’s side just sits back and prefers to play on the counter attack against the stronger teams. Crouch wants City to provide the fans with an attacking game, which
is thrilling to watch for everyone.
Talking to the reporters, Crouch said, "They're at home. If I was the manager I'd come out and play, but that's up to them.  I hope they do because hopefully it's an entertaining game of football, everyone will be watching it and it's like a cup final in
many ways."
Crouch added that both teams are under huge pressure to finish the season on the fourth spot, as City have spent millions of pounds on the acquisition of new players. Whereas, everyone expects Tottenham to qualify for Europe’s most prestigious competition
after making it to the quarter-finals of the competition in their debut campaign this season.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 striker said, "They're probably under more pressure than we are but that doesn't make us have any less desire. We have got probably a bit more freedom but there is pressure on us because we've loved every minute of the Champions League
this year, it's been fantastic and it's what we want again next season. We've proved we can play against the best and that's where we want to be."
The two teams also had to fight it out for the Champions League spot in the 2009-10 season and Tottenham got the better off the Manchester side.
