Tottenham Hotspur striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Pavlyuchenko-c31639 not heading to Lokomotiv Moscow, agent confirms
Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has been linked heavily with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow but his agent revealed there were other sides also interested and the 29-year-old could end up anywhere if things did not work out with the London club.
Ever since Pavlyuchenko fell out of favour with Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp, he has gone on to make just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season. It is for this reason he is linked with a move away in the upcoming January
transfer window.
Redknapp does not prefer to play the Russian hit-man because he has the likes of Rafael van der Vaart, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 at his disposal. All of whom have proved to be more effective than Pavlyuchenko.
There were reports suggesting that a deal had already been agreed with Lokomotiv and that the former Spartak Moscow striker would be returning to his homeland in the winter transfer window. However, Oleg Artemov, the player’s agent, said otherwise.
Artemov said while speaking to reporters:
“Roman has one-and-a-half years left on his contract with Tottenham. And who found out that it's Lokomotiv that has agreed anything with him?
He hasn't signed anything. There are more offers. We are learning, analysing and talking about them.”
Pavlyuchenko’s agent flat out denied claims that a deal had already been agreed with Lokomotiv and claimed they were currently looking at other offers. He also revealed they were in no rush since the player had a lot of time remaining on his current contract
with the English premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur.
When Artemov was asked if Lokomotiv were the only side Roman Pavlyuchenko was currently linked with, he replied that it was not the case. He revealed it was just rumours made up:
“It's not true. This is not the reality.”
According to the agent, there were many other European side’s interested in Pavlyuchenko and his future was far from being decided. He admitted that with a year and a half still remaining on his contract, there was plenty of time for him to decide where
he wanted to move.
