Arsenal started the match as the much better of the two sides but Tottenham were more energetic in their approach. The first goal of the match came in the first five minutes through Arsenal’s slick passing display. Cesc Fabregas

nil to the visitors on the night at White Hart Lane.
In the 7th minute, Tottenham fought their way back into the match through an equalising goal. Rafael Van der Vaart struck for the London giants as he was sent clean through on Arsenal’s goal following a pass from Vedran
Corluka down the right wing. The Dutchman took a single touch before blasting the ball past the on-rushing Szczesny to bring the score line to one all. This ferocious start to the match was accompanied by a fantastic atmosphere.
