Tottenham Hotspur want Chelsea’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044
Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Redknapp’s pursuit of an exceptional striker has been talked about time and time again. The manager has gone on to emphasise that his primary focus is to bring in a striker who can lead the team from the front.
After being linked with countless strikers in the past, Tottenham are now being linked with one of the most unlikely of targets. It appears as though the team is looking to capture http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s Ivorian powerhouse, Didier Drogba.
Despite this piece of information sounding ridiculous at first, when looked at carefully it seems to be a little more rational. Chelsea have already been looking for possible suitors for the striker and have even gone on to place a price tag of ten million pounds on the forwards head. Ten million is a price that Tottenham can easily pay at the moment. This is based on the fact that they are to be handed a handsome transfer kitty with which to buy players in the summer.
Nonetheless, at the end of the day this transfer is going to be based on Chelsea’s willingness to sell Drogba to the Spurs. Despite the team being able to meet their demand for the striker, it just seems a tad bit off, should the prime striker end up at White Hart Lane.
Atletico Madrid ask David de Gea to renew contract or leave
One of Manchester United’s possible summer prospects, David de Gea, has been given an indirect ultimatum by his current employers, Atletico Madrid. This is because the team has now stated that the keeper should either extend his stay with the club or part ways with them almost immediately.
The Spanish club’s CEO is quoted to have said, "We have met with him to negotiate a new deal on two occasions. He has a contract with Atletico for three more seasons, so it is necessary to renew it and reasonable to revise his salary, which is well below his current performance. But at the end of the season there will be two choices - to renew or to leave."
It seems like the warning couldn’t get any clearer than it already has for the Spanish keeping sensation. However United might just be able to benefit from the situation. Since Atletico are willing to get rid of the keeper, perhaps the Red Devils could sneak in his capture for a significantly low price as compared to the evaluation that they were initially given – which weighed in at around twenty million pounds.
Liverpool looking for centre-backs
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s manager, Kenny Dalglish, has been in talks regarding potential targets for the Reds over the summer for quite some time now. It now appears that the manager has added the prospect of landing a quality centre-back or two during the transfer window.
Dalglish seems to be unsure of the physical state of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Agger-c9884, who seem to be rather injury prone and have often left Liverpool’s back-line weaker than it should be.
There are no clear-cut players in the manager’s mind at the moment but there are bound to be a number of names linked with the team in the coming weeks.
