Tottenham Hotspur’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 believes his team can reach semi-finals of UEFA Champions League
Tottenham Hotspur midifieder Gareth Bale is still dreaming of a place in the semi-final stages of the UEFA Champions League, despite seeing his side thrashed 4-0 by Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
The Premier League side found themselves 1-0 down within the first ten minutes of the match, and after striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Crouch-c29741 was sent off in the 15th minute, an already uphill task for Spurs became almost impossible.
The visitors somehow held out all through the first half, but after the restart, it was Real Madrid all the way. Jose Mourinho’s men completely thrashed the 10-man Tottenham side, scoring three more goals to all but ensure their place in the semi-finals
of the Champions League.
However, Spurs midfielder Gareth Bale still remains optimistic about his side’s chances of progressing further in the competition. The Welshman believes there is still a chance that Tottenham can overcome the four-goal deficit when Real Madrid travel to
White Hart Lane in two weeks time.
Speaking on the matter, Bale said, “We have to play at our best, stop their best players and score goals at White Hart Lane. It's going to be a difficult task, everyone knows that but I still think it's possible. We are not going to sit back and take another
beating from them in the second leg.”

He added, “Anything can happen. We will be ready for them."
Tottenham have not won a single match in all competition since their win over AC Milan back in February, and Gareth Bale claims that the London club have to work hard to stop their downward spiral in the Premier League as well. He believes that Spurs will
come out stronger from their heavy defeat to Real Madrid.
The Welshman added, “We have to pick ourselves up for the rest of the season. We can still finish fourth or higher maybe. We have to keep going, as we still have the second leg and the league. We are a young team that is learning and I think we can definitely
learn from this.”
Tottenham are currently fifth in the Premier League standings.
