Tottenham Hotspur’s Luka Modric going nowhere

Tottenham playmaker Luka Modric has insisted that he doesn't wish to leave White Hart Lane in order to fulfil his dreams, instead he will stay at the club for a longer term.
The Croatian has committed his future to the club and has recently signed a new six-year contract. He was recently linked to the Spanish giants Barcelona and although the midfielder is flattered to be linked with a move to Pep Guardiola’s side, he will only
leave for “Barca” if the Spurs draw against them in the Champions League match.
He said, “But of course, it is always nice to see your name being linked with such a club as Barcelona, but one has to keep their feet on the ground. At the end of the day it's just rumours without any foundation. And I really don't want to talk about all
this anymore. Since I moved here newspapers are always talking about me leaving for somewhere else.”
The Croatian international has been in good form and many big clubs want to sign him including the likes of Chelsea, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Manchester United. He is estimated to be worth around £30million.
Talking about the speculation he said, "First it was Chelsea, then Inter Milan and also Manchester United, now it is Barcelona. But the only truth is that I just recently signed a new contract with Tottenham. London is such a great place and at White Hart
Lane I feel just like home. I know that the fans are happy with me, I have all the support I need to develop even more.”
The Playmaker believes that he can make his football dreams come true here with the Spurs and he is only concerned with the future of this great club. The Croatian believes that Europe’s big clubs will now take them seriously after their demolition of European
champions Inter Milan and this performance has put his club on the European map. Now that the Spurs have scored three goals in both the games against current European Champions Inter Milan, teams will fear them. The Croatian is confident that they will make
a lot of improvement after the Champions League experience. The Spurs are now close to qualification for the knockout stage.
Gareth Bale Praised by Luis Figo
In other club news, former Real Madrid star Luis Figo has praised the performances of Gareth Bale. Saying that Bale was amazing against San Siro. Figo let his feelings be known to the manager Harry Redknapp.
£50m price tag on Bale
Tottenham have put a £50million price tag on Gareth Bale after removing 25% sell-on clauses in his current contract with Southampton.
Modric, who was born on the 9th of September 1985, and is 25 years old. He is regarded as being amongst the best midfield players of the premier league. Like Paul Scholes of Manchester United, the former Dinamo Zagreb player never loses the ball and has
an eye for killer passes. Always dictating tempo from a deep position, Modric can play on both sides. The club bought him for just £15million and now his value is estimated to be around £30million. If they do try to sell him sometime soon they can expect to
make huge profits.
