Tottenham Hotspur’s Rafael van der Vaart urges Wesley Sneijder to join Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart revealed he was certain his Netherlands teammate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 wanted to transfer to the English Premier League. The 28-year-old Dutchman said he wouldn’t be surprised if the Inter Milan playmaker ended
up with Premier League champions Manchester United for the new season.
Sneijder has continuously been linked with a move to the Premier League, Manchester United in specific. However, there have been recent rumours linking him to big spending Manchester City as well. Inter Milan have denied any talks have taken place between
the two sides and insist Sneijder will continue on with the Serie A side next season.
Sneijder had other plans. The 27-year-old claimed Inter Milan would only consider selling him if the right price was offered. According to the player, his situation was going to get clearer in the upcoming days and a decision would most likely be reached
on his future. Van der Vaart felt the outcome was predictable, with Sneijder playing for the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
The Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder himself made the move to the English Premier League side just last season. With competition from Bayern Munich, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp managed to secure the services of the second striker for an estimated fee
of £8 million from La Liga side Real Madrid. Van der Vaart made 36 appearances in all competitions and scored 15 goals last season.
Van der Vaart said while speaking to reporters:
“Of course he would like to play in England; it's the biggest league in the world.
He is a good friend of mine and we have contact almost every day. He knows what to expect in the Premier League.”

champions. He jokingly said he wouldn’t want Sneijder to join United since he would further strengthen the already strong squad.
He continued:
“I hope not because Man U are going to be stronger.
But he's a great player and he fits in well at Man U.”

Sneijder has made a total of 80 appearances for Inter Milan in all competitions and has found the back of the net 16 times. Despite signing a contract extension in 2010, which will keep him at the club until 2015, Sneijder seems determined on a move away
from the San Siro. So far Manchester United are in the lead to sign the talented playmaker.
