Tottenham's Hotspur mid-fielder Luka Modric not going to Inter Milan: EPL News
Tottenham's Hotspur mid-fielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857, is not seeking a move to the Italian side, Inter Milan. As per the player’s agent Nikki Arthur Vuksan, rumours like Modric to a move in the summer transfer window are a ‘complete nonsense’.
Modric has had a fantastic season with the Lilywhite so far, the player has been influential in the English Premier League as well as the UEFA Champions League.
At present Tottenham are placed fifth in the Premier League table after collecting 54 points and the club qualified for the last eight of the Champions League in their debut season, where they were defeated by Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
A string of decent performances for Tottenham has sparked interest from some of the top European clubs including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. However, the player’s agent claims that the player is happy to stay at White Hart Lane.
Vuksan said, "I have read somewhere that an Italian club has been given permission to speak to Luka but that is not correct. It is complete nonsense."
"Luka has a contract until 2016 which he recently signed. He intends to see out that contract and does not want to leave Spurs. If someone comes in for him one day and Spurs decide to accept the offer then that is up to them but Luka is very happy at Spurs. The season is going great for him there and hopefully he will be playing in the Champions League again next season." Added the agent.
Vuksan added that the player does not plan to finish the rest of his career at White Hart Lane and some day he might leave the North London club to seek other ambitions, but, at the moment the 25-year-old player is enjoying his life with the Lilywhites.
Tottenham certainly are in contention to qualify for the Champions League again, but they face stiff competition from Manchester City. Currently, the Citizens have the advantage as they are two points ahead of the Spurs in the EPL points table.
It will be interesting to see which team has the upper hand at the end of the season.
