The Spurs are believed to be engaged in talks with the American club, LA Galaxy, and it is believed that Beckham’s club have showed interest in making the deal.
Redknapp said that he is very optimistic, and talks are underway between the two clubs and it may happen soon. If the deal actually goes through, as Redknapp says, Beckham may be lining up against his former club, Manchester United, for the very first time
after leaving it 6 years ago.
Redknapp said that Beckham is in town, and he may be at the ground to witness the FA cup match this weekend. He added that there is a good chance that the winger may be in the team in the match against his former employers.
Redknapp said:  "I think he could be here on Sunday, possibly, if what I'm being told on the grapevine is right... Hopefully, he will come to the game. I'm not hundred percent sure, but he could be here on Sunday. It's just sorting out the length of the
loan [now] and one or two other bits and pieces."
The former Portsmouth manager said that a player like Beckham can always lift the whole team, even if it is for a brief period. He added that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 captain still has a lot more to offer and he can inspire players around him to a great degree.
If the deal goes through before next week, the right footer may be able to play as much as 10 games for Tottenham in the short period. He is expected to be back in USA for the start of the MLS season on 15th of March.
The Spurs are not the first club to have shown interest in bringing Beckham back to England on a short term deal. Last season, West Ham tried to do the same but failed, and this season, teams like Blackburn and Newcastle had also expressed their interest.
David Beckham joined Manchester United in 1991 and was part of the ‘Golden Generation’, that also involved Garry Neville, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 and Ryan Giggs- all of these played for Manchester United and earned great honours. Beckham, however, had
a fall out with the manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, in 2004 and was later sold to Real Madrid. He did not enjoy a good first season in Madrid, and later was out of favour when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello took over as manager. However, he managed to fight his way through and
came back in the team, and also ended up winning the Spanish league in his final season with them. He moved to LA Galaxy in 2007 and now looks determined to end his career in USA. He was also stripped of the captaincy of the team of England after the 2006
world cup. He did make his way back in the team but missed the World Cup 2010 due to an Achilles injury, after which his career with the team of England was almost over.
At the age of 35, David Beckham now stands at the twilight of his career, and he may be inclined to come back to England once again for a brief stint before he hangs his famous boots.
