Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Niko-Kranjcar-c27926 has hit out at club chairman Daniel Levy, calling him a liar and accusing the club of handling Luka Modric’s transfer situation poorly.
The 27-year old midfielder recently left Tottenham for Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kiev and has publicly condemned Tottenham chairman http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Levy and claims that Levy had promised to allow Modric to leave the club this season, only to have moved back on that
promise.
Kranjcar is sympathetic towards his friend, former colleague and compatriot. Modric has been the subject of headlines on all major football newspapers and websites. The Croatian was set to leave White Hart Lane this summer, with a possible host of clubs
waiting to secure his services.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain had been in the chase for the midfielder, but it seems like Spanish giants Real Madrid will beat the others and lure the midfielder away from White Hart Lane.
Tottenham however are not willing to let Modric leave unless interested clubs cough up £40 million for the midfielder. Madrid are understood to be hesitant to pay this amount as they do not value Modric at this price. PSG are however expected to line up
a £40 million bid in the coming weeks, and Modric might be sold to the French giants.
Kranjcar spoke to the press about the situation and had this to say:
"I know that the chairman talked to him face to face last autumn. He promised Luka he would let him go, and now he's condemning him.”

"Levy did everything to protect the interest of the club and make a profit. He has also used lies to deceive the public, which is allowed in business, but if you were in Luka's shoes, you would probably do the same as him.”
"To have an offer from Real Madrid is a once-in-a-career opportunity. I'd do anything to get to Santiago Bernabeu, playing for Real Madrid is the greatest privilege in any footballer's career, even if I prefer http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. That's why I understand Luka."
Kranjcar may have risked the wrath of Spurs fans after comparing his former club to Dynamo Kiev, and claiming that history and tradition wise, Kiev are a bigger club than Tottenham.
