Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp reveals sympathy for relegation threatened clubs – EPL news
Tottenham Hotspur boss, Harry Redknapp, has revealed his support for the English Premier League managers who will lead their teams into the final day of the Premier League campaign, still unsure of their place in next season’s competition.
The battle against relegation is set to go down to the wire, as a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Total-c40747 of five clubs will be fighting for survival on the final day of the ongoing 2010/11 Barclays Premier League campaign. On Sunday, the Premier League dreams of two clubs will end.
Harry Redknapp is sympathetic of the plight of those involved in the relegation dogfight. Speaking on the matter, the Spurs boss said, “Personally, I think http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 and Blackburn are out of trouble and it's probably between the three teams that are level on
39 points. It will be a tense day for all those involved. Relegation is their biggest nightmare and Sunday will be a tough, tough day.
"It will be a tough day for those boys and they've all done great jobs, none have under-achieved. Birmingham won the League Cup, Wigan have done brilliantly to stay in there and it's a miracle what they've done at Blackpool.”
Birmingham will visit White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham Hotspur for the final game of their domestic campaign. The Blues will need at least a win to ensure their survival in the Premier League. Though Birmingham’s fate lies directly in his hands, Harry
Redknapp insists he won’t be swayed by sentiments on Sunday. However, the Spurs boss claimed that he won’t be celebrating even if his side manages to win.
He added, “I wouldn't want to be jumping up and down on the touchline if we score. I've got feelings for (Birmingham manager) http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 McLeish and all those other lads who are involved on Sunday.”
Tottenham Hotspur are currently fifth in the Barclays Premier League standings. A win against Birmingham City on the final day of the campaign will ensure them a fifth place finish in the standings, as well as a place in next season’s UEFA Europa League.
