Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and Dutch international, Rafael van der Vaart, has claimed that Harry Redknapp is no different than current Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho. The 28-year-old hailed the duo’s management by mentioning the fact that, both are very
competitive and their only mission is to win.
The former Real Madrid player also praised the Los Blancos line-up and added that it would be difficult to beat them at the Bernabeu. Spurs travel to Bernabeu on Tuesday, 5 April to take on Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter-Finals.
He further hailed the efforts of Mourinho, saying that, "I love how Madrid play. They are having a very good season. Mourinho is a coach who the players want to play for. In the off-season I had much contact with Mourinho and he is an exceptional coach,
the best in the world."
Van der Vaart confirmed that his move to White Hart Lane was a result of the lack of first team football. Since his arrival at the club, the Dutchman has been an influential figure and has played a major part in Tottenham’s success.
He did concede that, "I wanted to play every game and in Madrid there are many exceptional players [such as] Oezil and Kaka... I am 28 years old and to be at a high level I need games, I am happy to return to Madrid. [It's] sure to be a very good game."

Lane, the 28-year-old has emerged twenty six times for the club so far. He has twelve goals under his belt from all the competitions.
