Tottenham wanted to sign me: Mark van Bommel
Dutch international midfielderm http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-van-Bommel-c24148 has not ruled out moving to North London in the future. After admitting that he did receive an approach from Tottenham Hotspur, boss Harry Redknapp during the January transfer window.

Despite coming close to a long expected English move last month, Van Bommel opted to sign a contract with AC Milan after bringing an end to his career with Bayern Munich.
Speaking to media about the contact from Spurs, the 33-year-old enforcer remarked:
"We had some contact with Spurs. Unfortunately it didn't work out in the end. It's one of my favourite clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, that's all I really want to say”.
Tottenham signed Dutch International midfielder, Rafael Van der Vaart from Real Madrid and he has been a revelation at White Hart lane. Van Bommel concedes that he will relish the opportunity to link up with his compatriot.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich star said, "I really love the stadium. I know the training ground because I've been there with the Dutch national team.
Van Bommel also confirmed that compatriot Rafael van der Vaart had played a role in notifying him about the qualities of Tottenham Hotspur:
"Rafael has told me a lot of good stories. I'd love to play for Spurs. I've told Rafael that as well."
He was thankful to Harry Redknapp's for showing interest in him and was flattered to be linked with such a big club, but said he was focusing on his present assignment with AC Milan.
"It's not good to look back. You've got to look to the future. I'm happy at Milan, but you never know what will happen."
