Tottenham winger Gareth Bale all praise for teammate Rafael Van der Vaart – EPL news

League after a great maiden campaign.
Spurs finished fifth in the Premier League at the end of the season with 62 points and therefore, failed to qualify for the UEFA Europa League. The club witnessed an impressive season but injury concerns dented their hopes of a top four finish.
Bale praised Van der Vaart claiming that the midfielder is a complete player. He insisted that the Dutchman has played a key role in the club’s success in their maiden Champions League outing, scoring some very crucial goals. The winger labelled Van der
Vaart as the best signing of the season and hoped that the former Real Madrid attacker continues to impress.
“He's played at Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world, and he's been there and done it, and he's brought some extra special class to our team. He's been a great signing for us, especially for the price he came in for, he's been probably the best signing
of the season,” he was quoted as saying.
The Welsh international was also disappointed on the club’s failure to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition. The Londoners were deprived of Champions League football as Manchester City took their place.
Harry Redknapp’s team reached the quarter-finals of the competition, eventually losing to Spanish giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid. Bale hoped that the club would return stronger next season and qualify for the competition again.
“It's a massive blow. We have enjoyed the last season in the Champions League; playing at the big stadiums against the big teams and it's going to be disappointing [not to be in it again] but in a way that will give us motivation for next season to try and
qualify again,” he concluded.
Gareth Bale had a breakthrough season with Spurs and played a key role in guiding his side to the last eight of the Champions League. His performances were rewarded with the PFA Player of the Year award at the end of the campaign.
