Tottenham winger, Gareth Bale, has welcomed the news linking him with the reigning European champions, Barcelona. The Welsh international was talking to a British newspaper, Daily Post, and revealed his contenment over interest in his services.
It is not the first time that Bale has been linked with a move to Spanish football, and specifically Barcelona. However, the player has come out in the open and stated his appreciation for the Catalan club.
Tottenham’s left footed player admitted that "it is always beautiful and special that you are linked to a great team like Barca."
The 22-year old did reject notions of an imminent transfer and said that he is focused on the North London club. He said that he wants to continue growing as a footballer and is happy with his situation under Harry Redknapp.
"I'm enjoying the game with the Spurs and definitely do not pay much attention to news about possible interest from other teams," the Welsh international reflected.
