Touch Screen Car Radios?

Question

I'm so confused on the whole touch screen car radios...

If I get one can I just use my regular radio or do I have to

subscribe to like a radio service?? I drive a 2003 pon.

sunfire with a monsoon system in it already... that was

in the car when I bought it.. I hate it because the

screen doesnt light up at all unless its night and

it just looks like c**p. If the screen that I get is

smaller than the one already in the car can I get

like a faceplate or something?

Does anyone have one?

Do you like it?

What don't you like about it?

Any favorite Brands?

This stereo works great, have installed it lots of times and looks nicer than the pictures. Feels solid and the dvd play back is easy to navigate. The sound is just as good as Pioneer or Alpine with 4 volt preouts.

Understand that you are looking at double din tv's. You must have space for it. Not every car does. With that said. I have the Alpine IVA-d310. I love it its easy to navigate through and i have enough input to add alot more equipment. If i need to i can close the TV and take off the face. Try either one of those since the 2 you were looking at are TV tuner stereos. I do not think that your going to want to watch TV in your car. A movie on the other hand. Yes the 7" screen will fit in your car, also check out www.j-body.org, thought that you would like that 1 since you drive a J-Body.

I bought a pioneer avh-4000dvd...It sucks..I had it for over a year and wrecked my car twice watching movies.I recently put in a Alpine cda-9883 unit,it sounds 10 times better,but don't play DVDs,if you get a touch screen,it is very hard to adjust while driving.
