I am looking for something that i dont even know exists....Is there a such thing as a total touch screen computer? Like with no keyboard, mouse, ect. Something that someone with disabilities could use? Where they can just touch the screen to play games and ect..kind of like the systems that Wawa uses for you to order food?? Thanks

  1. there are computers like that available, but they SUPER expensive

  2. Yes there is such a thing as full touch screen computers. One that I would recommend is the HP Touch Smart Computer. It is a bit on the expensive side but it is well worth it. You can still use a mouse and keyboard but they are not necessary.

  3. Of course they exist. Wawa uses them. They been in use in restaurants and bartop games for years. They run on ATM machines (and those are running windows - but that's a whole OTHER bad idea).

All a touchscreen is is a membrane on the monitor that translates your presses into a mouse click or equivalent signal to tell the PC what spot was "clicked" or "Pressed". The work is all done in software.

Anyway, the next version of Windows will have this kind of capability built in. Meanwhile, if you want it now, you'll probably have to look to specialty supplier.
