Touching choral songs.?

I'm looking for the perfect choral song...I'm looking for one that is really touching and gives you goosebumps, but not with a sad feel to it. Something with the effect of Prayer of the Children, but not so sad. I'm having a really hard time finding one. Any suggestions?

  1. Haydn - Hallelujah, from the Messiah is the greatest choral I have ever heard.

  2. Well, it depends. Are you singing in a choir or solo? But this song is great for a duet: "The Riddle" from the Scarlet Pimpernel. Also, "I hear the windmill" It's real title is in French, but I can't remember it. Try "Memory" from Cats, too. Kind of meant for one person, but I'm sure you could pull it off.  But those are just suggestions. I'm sure you'll find the perfect song. :)

  3. Some of my favorites that definitely fall under the "goosebumps" category:

"With This Love" by Peter Gabriel

    Anything by Eric Whitacre, including:

"i thank you God for most this amazing day"

    "Sleep"

    "This Marriage"

    "hope, faith, life, love"

You can find all of those on iTunes.  Hope that helps!

  4. Mata del Anima Sola, Spanish can't recall the composer

Lux Arumpque, Latin by Eric Whitacre

Go Lovely Rose, English also can't recall composer

These are all touching for different reasons and all amazing songs in my opinion.  Hope it helps :-)
