Tough competition expected in Greyhound Ownership 525
A close battle amongst greyhounds is expected in the Greyhound Ownership 525 at Harold’s Cross in Ireland on Monday, October 8, 2012. There are no clear favourites to win the Grade A4 event and the spectators will definitely be looking forward to a thrilling
event, which will kick off at 21:25 GMT.
The winner of the 525 yard race will be awarded a cash prize of €215 in the end, thus all of the greyhounds will be trying extremely hard in order to finish at the top of the table. However, only one of them will be able to walk away with a victory in the
end whereas the rest will have to settle for less.
Looking at the record of all the participants, it appears that Glee Man will be in a strong position to win the race. He has been doing a decent job for his team over the past few months and will be looking to deliver another strong result today. Things
will not be easy for him though and he will have to be at his very best in order to surprise his opponents.
The O'Hara’s trainee made his debut at the start of this year and has been running at Harold’s Cross since then. He likes running on this track and will be well aware of the conditions. There will be non pressure on him, as most of his opponents have been
struggling for form in recent times.
The blue dog took part in a Grade A4 event previously and was unable to make a strong impression during that race. He was given a pretty decent starting price, but failed to meet the expectations of the bookies. He finished in fourth place back then and
will need to make a lot of improvement in order to shine today.
On the other hand, Count The Money will be confident of making his team proud in the race, as he is carrying a decent momentum right now. He finished as a runner up in his most recent outing in this class, which will encourage the punters to risk more money
in his favour.
However, the J. Hand’s trainee was unable to deliver a strong result in his most recent race in Grade GR. This might have dented his confidence, thus he will need to show a strong character at Harold’s Cross.
