Tough competition expected in Stadium Bookmakers Puppy Oaks - Heat 1
A close competition amongst greyhounds is expected in the Stadium Bookmakers Puppy Oaks - Heat 1 at Nottingham in England on Monday, June 4, 2012. A cash prize of £125 will be awarded to the race winner.
The 480 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 20:36 GMT and a total of six puppies will be seen in action in it. Their names are as follows: Sharies Miller, Ayamzabeauty, Watch Kitty, Darian Sky, Fabulous Val and Clogher Rose.
Most of the runners are inexperienced, thus it will be difficult to predict the winner accurately. However, Clogher Rose has taken part in a few Grade OR events, which means that she will be able to handle pressure better than her rivals.
The D. Curtin’s trainee has never run at Nottingham, but the conditions will not be much difficult for her. She has never won any event in this class, but has a solid chance of bringing up her maiden victory today.
The black b***h has taken part in five Grade OR events in her career until now. Although she has been unable to win any of them, her performances in them have not been bad at all, as she finished runner up in three of them whereas took the third spot once.
There was only one occasion, where she failed to make it to the top three.
However, things will be a lot easier for Clogher Rose today, as her opponents are not much competitive. She will still have to be at her best in order to take the top spot at Nottingham. She is the daughter of College Causeway out of Deerpark Angel and was
born in August 2010.
Despite her decent performances in this class, the bookmakers do not seem to have a lot of confidence in the abilities of Clogher Rose. They have given better odds to Sharies Miller and Ayamzabeauty based on their performances in trial runs.
However, things will not be easy for both of them, as it is a different thing altogether to run in Grade OR events. They will need a lot of luck in order to prevail today otherwise the victory will definitely go to Clogher Rose.
