i made the mistake of removing a .net framework file through the add/remove programs in the control panel and now i can't uninstall it the right way because technically its not there and i can't just install the new one because its there... im stuck and its slowly messing **** up on my computer....i dont want to have to do a full system recovery but i think i might have to... any suggestions? or references to look at?

  1. Look for a decent registry cleaner.  It should be able to remove the .net registry entries that are still in the system...so can reinstall from scratch.

    Or

Download the exact same version and see if it gives you a 'repair' option in the install process.

  2. if your comp will be stable for long enough, run windows update.

  3. Just re-install the correct framework. You can Google them.

Load the full-redistributable version so you don't have to go through Windows Update.
