Tough or easy?

i want to study CAT (certified accounting technician) becouse its the foundation of ACCA . so some people says its good but it is very tough you might be stuck in it and you career will be destroyed.

I'm not sure that I follow your argument here.  Let me get this straight:

You know what you want to study (CAT).

You know why you want to study it (it's the foundation of ACCA).

You are doing this because you have made a positive decision regarding your future career (accountancy I presume).

No problem so far, OK?

Some people say it's good (fantastic news).

Some people say its tough (well yes - if you want the qualification you have to be prepared to do the work, some people just don't like work - if you are accepted on the course the tutors will believe you are capable of achieving the qualification).

Finally - and here's the biggie - you might get stuck in it and your career will be destroyed.  This is a contradiction in terms.  You have to get stuck into it because by doing this it will be the making of your chosen career.  How on earth can it destroy it?

It's your life.  You have to decide what you want to do with it.  It seems to me that you have made your decision and a very positive decision it is too.  Don't let others distract you from what you want to do.  If they have studied the course then by all means listen to what they have to say, but don't let them focus on the negative - ask them for the positive too.  I'm sure that many people will have many good things to say about it.

Think positive, be productive and prosperity will follow.  Good luck with your studies.
