I'm going through a difficult time with my family and really need a job. But I go to school from 7:00-3:00 and I'm 16. Most jobs require flexible schedules and they require you to be 18 and older. What can I do to find a job and where can I go?

I have also applied for jobs at companies that meet all my requirements and I believe that I have met theirs and they never call back. Companies such as starbucks.

I always get flyer's for job openings and job fairs but they all say -must be 17 or older- previous experience necessary- etc.

  1. you should apply at your local library they hire anyone over 16, that was my first job when i turned 16 3 years ago. it is easy and flexible and they usually hire high school students for page work. a page is someone who reshelves books. and most librarys dont look for previous experience, it mostly a starter job.

    good luck!

try other libraries around you if they aren't hiring at your local library.

McDonald isn't a good idea I feel. most people i know that started working there were stuck with delayed raises, inflexible schedules and bad supervisors.

  2. argos hire 16 year olds, also try shoe stores and places like saisnbury's and tesco's. there are many places where you don't need experience because its all on th job. i suggest trying supermarkets, shoe stores, and fast food places. you can always find a job, you just have to lower your requirements and standards at the beginning.

  3. McDonalds.

    They always hire.

They usually need people who can sacrifice their weekends too.
