For all those people, who know their rugby league history, who would be in your toughest Australian rugby league team 13 that you would not like to face?

Mine would be, from fullback:

1. Graham Eadie

2. Eric Grothe (snr)

3. Mark Harris

4. Mal Menniga

5. Peter Dimond

6. Wally Lewis

7. Tom Raudonikis

13. Ray Price

12. Les Boyd

11. Terry Randall

10. Kevin Ryan

9. Noel Kelly

8. Shane Webcke

That team would be a big hit out on the paddock!

  1. i go for jonathan docking from cronulla in the early 80s.he probably did not played for australia during his time but he can go beyond the pain barrier just like ray price.as for no.7 i chosse geoff toovey from the sea eagles.he not afraidf to take on much bigger bloke s than him.paul sironen for the second row ahead of les boyd.blocker roach for the front row forward and benny elias for the hooker. the rest i agreed.

  2. i dont know much about many of those players as they were before my time...

  3. I think David Gillespie would have to be there.

  4. why not put in johnny raper at lock, and also reg gasnier in centres

still a great team though :)

  5. Will just give you my differences. I would have Gary Jack at fullback. I saw him get both his front teeth smashed out and he put them in his sock and kept playing.

Ian Roberts deserves a spot in place of Ryan. Everyone knew he was g*y in  league, but he was a goliath and never took a backward step (and absolutely massacred anyone in a fight when they mentioned it).

Les Boyd was the dirtiest player - probably not toughest (I don't think it is tough to king hit someone off the ball). Maybe swap him with Geoff Robinson - who played both second row and prop. I remember when Parra wanted to pull of a "wall" where they would advance in a line with one player having the ball buried in his shirt behind the line. Robbo just went in and smashed them all - bodies strewn everywhere - Cement Gillespie and Gillmiester were very, very good hitmen, the last of their kind really. Tough one. Maybe Gillespie for the spot. But not Boyd the dirty a*5@(0le

Hard to split Lewis and Lamb - Lamb was durable (most games ever played in first grade) and was a tough nugget. Even though I dislike Canterbury I would nearly sneak him in at 5/8 based on that.

  6. great side only think i would say would be why Tom Raudonikis at haft back i would of put peter serlling at haft back not tom raudonikis but its your choose so i respect who you picked

  7. fatty or sterlo, toss up between them two tough buggers.
