There was a time when Brazilian striker Edgar Silva was considered as one of the greatest hopes of Brazilian football.
In the January of 2007, Portuguese side FC Porto bought the youngster from Beira-Mar. However, the move to the Lisbon giants proved to be a bad one for Edgar who spent loans spells and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edgar-c11882 never managed to realise
his immense potential.

Now, at the age of 25, the striker is playing for Vitoria Guimaraes where he has scored 11 goals since the start of the season. Currently, Silva is the third leading goalscorer in Portuguese league and is the principal architect of the Guimaraes’ successful
campaign.
His performances have not gone unnoticed as several European sides are monitoring his progress. The native of Sao http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 is also on the shelves of three Ligue 1 clubs.
French media claims that the likes of Toulouse FC, Montpellier Herault and Stade Rennais are keen on signing the 25-year-old striker.
The direction of Toulouse FC have already inquired about the player. Emissaries of all the three Ligue 1 sides have many times scouted the striker.
The likes of Real Mallorca, Siena, Freiburg and Twente are also keeping tabs on the player which means that Montpellier, Toulouse and Stade Rennais will face stiff competition in winning the race for the highly-rated striker’s signature.
Since joining Vitoria Guimaraes in 2010, Edgar has scored 21 goals in 53 appearances.
Though his first stint of European football was not a great one, Edgar Silva has shown great mental strength to return to his best and he certainly warrants a move to a good club where he will have more opportunities to develop.
The likes of Montpellier, Stade Rennais and Toulouse would certainly be great destinations for the player who will be spoiled for choice this summer.
