The 19-year-old recently put pen to paper on a deal that prolongs his stay at Stadium Municipal, and the young defender has expressed his ambition of representing the Ligue 1 outfit regularly.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toulouse-FC-c40751 defender, Steeve Yago, has expressed his delight after signing a two-year contract extension. The 19-year-old’s new contract will keep him at Stadium Municipal until the summer of 2016.
“I am very happy to sign a two-year contract extension. This is something that would give me more confidence”, Yago was quoted as saying to Footmercato.net.
The highly-rated defender, who has thus far represented TFC in five league games, went on to express his ambition that he wants to cement his place in the starting XI, and play as many games as possible.
“I want to play as many matches as possible. I want to develop with this team. I have been with this group for the past two years, and now I want to be part of the playing XI”, Yago added.
Les Pitchouns have started the 2012/13 campaign brightly. Occupying the seventh spot on the league table, TFC are only six points behind the league leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127.
And the 19-year-old has admitted that he will try his level best to help his side in finishing at a better place on the table.
“It would be nice if we finish at a good position. We are working extremely hard, and would love to achieve something special this season. Our squad has the experience to achieve consistent results, but we only need to avoid dropping points sloppily”, Yago
concluded.
Le Tef finished eighth on the league table last term. However, they have started the new season impressively, and have set their sights on finishing at least in the top four sides.
To achieve this feat, TFC must achieve consistent results throughout the 2012/13 campaign. However, with Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 showing impressive form thus far, it seems a mountain to climb for Le Tef.
Nonetheless, Yago would be hoping that his side continues to perform brightly until the end of the season, and keep their hopes of a top four finish alive.
