Tour de France - Paris watching places?

Can't make the rest of the family do the whole eight-hour wait on the Champs Elysee, but still have to see it. Last time did Place de la Bastille, which is good because they have to slow down going from Boulevard Henri Quatre into Rue de Rivoli. This year staying close to Rue de Rivoli - what's that like for views, down the Marais end?

  1. Here you can see what is the best in Paris to see.

I liked the Eiffel tower, trocadero, Notre-dame, Sacre cour and Arc the triumph.

On the link below you can also choose a hotel near by the monument you like most.

  2. No, you don't have to wait 8 hours on the Champs Elysees.  Several times I've arrived at 10-11 AM and have had little problem finding a spot.  What's even better is if you bring a little chair or footstool with you.  Then you can see over the crowd when the riders come by.  It's really the best place in all the tour to watch since they make several passes.  More chances to take great photos.

  3. Top of Eiffel Tower

  4. The Arc de Triomphe
