Tour of the White House Help?

I heard that you have to put your name on a list six months in advance in order to take a White House Tour has anybody ever heard this before or have any information that would help have been to the website by the way.

  1. Since you've been to the Whitehouse.gov website you know how to arrange for tickets.  Requesting tickets six months ahead is just an estimate.  If you're asking for tickets during an off-season for visitors, your lead time will probably be less than if you're planning to visit during the height of the tourist season.  It also helps if your Congressman's office is aggressive in trying to get you tickets.


  2. The only thing I will add, is you have to have a group of at least 10 people to tour the whitehouse.  

  3. Contact your local Congressman or Senator. They have a limited number of tickets that they can provide for you as long as you are a resident of their district.
