Tour to South Africa will be a tough journey for Australia, says http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 – Cricket News Update
Michael Clarke, the Australian captain, has admitted that his team’s upcoming tour to South Africa will not be an easy outing since the home side is a well-balanced unit.
Starting from October 13, 2011, Australia’s visit to South Africa comprises of two Twenty20 Internationals, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a couple of 5-day matches.
While it will be Proteas’ first international contest after the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
Despite the fact that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 will count only when the Aussies take on Proteas
later this month.
The skipper conceded that the South African side is a well-equipped one and it will not be a child’s play for the Aussies to beat them.
"They are a very good team and they are ranked very high in all forms of the game. They have had a lot of success in their own country, so it`s as tough a challenge as you face in world cricket, no doubt," said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120.
He, however, expressed optimism that his bowlers will be able to produce something special on the African tracks.
Clarke argued that since the wickets in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 will be fairly similar to those in Australia, the Aussie bowling unit will be able extract something out of the pitches and produce wonderful results.
"But South Africa are going to be tough, their own conditions, I think the wickets will probably suit us a bit more, our own fast bowlers I know are looking forward to getting over there and seeing a bit more pace and bounce than there was in Sri Lanka.
But it's going to be a really tough tour,” insisted the 30-year-old batsman who was handed over the leadership responsibilities after http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ricardo-Gouveia-c84824 Ponting’s resignation following the World Cup debacle.
