Manchester City’s first team coach, David Platt has gone on to insist that just about any player can be asked to leave the club, and insisted that no one is indispensable to the Premier League Champions.
He also went on to confirm that the likes of Yaya Toure and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601 could also be parted ways with, should the team think they are no longer needed.
Platt then went on to elaborate and insist that no one player would be relied on to win games for the club, since it was a team effort that was needed by all the players, in order to secure a favourable result for the club.
When talking about the club and just how they are going to be approaching their games, and just how they are going to treat their players, Platt went on to state: "We have to look at things"
"We want to get to a point where nobody is indispensable.”
"What we know with Yaya, he can give us so much balance, so much control of the game – a lot goes through him.”
"With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409, when you think you are coming up against a tight defence, he can open things up with his ability.”
"We address every game as it comes, with one eye on what the players have done and what the players are going to have to do in the next game.”
"A lot is made of people missing games but we don't just pick a team for one particular game."
This season City have not been playing as well as they would have hoped for, and many feel that this is because the team isn’t playing the same way it did last season, with Silva proving to be one of the biggest disappointments of the season.
However, Platt has insisted that one player cannot determine how a team performs, and now he needs to get the City squad to back up his comments.
Should he be able to help the team get some decent results with Silva failing to perform, then it would be a whole lot easier to agree with what the assistant manager is saying.
