Manchester City’s midfielder, Yaya Toure has gone on to claim that the loss to Manchester United has helped City grow as a unit, and feels that this loss will help the team go on and put in a lot more effort in their upcoming games.
The match kicked off with Wayne Rooney going on and scoring a quick double for United in the game. Then in the second half, City got things rolling with a bang, as Yaya Toure scored for the Blue side of Manchester. Then in the last few minutes of the game,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Zabaleta-c29022 went on to level things up for City in the game.
However, things took a dramatic twist in stoppage time, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 went on to score via a free kick.
As a result of that very late goal, City went on to lose their game to Manchester United, and are now sitting six points behind the league leaders. This difference would have seemed to be a very massive difference between the two sides, but given how quickly
things can change in the league, we can’t really say who will go on and win the whole thing.
Yaya Toure, when talking about the game, and his team is reported to have said: "This makes us more determined to win it"
"We are tough men, and when things get difficult, that is when you find the tough men.”
"We have to forget what we have done in the past. This year will be tough but we have a fantastic squad and we have the confidence to keep going until the final day.”
"We have to be strong mentally, and strong in every other way as well, but the Premier League is not finished yet.”
"We thought we would win it at 2-2, but United have great experience and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 was fantastic for them. That is what United are about - they are a big team and we are proud to play against them.”
Nonetheless, City now need to come back with a bang in their upcoming games, because if they keep performing like they did against United, they might not stand a chance to retain their Premier League crown.
