Manchester City’s goal keeper, Yaya Toure has admitted that his side might need some divine intervention to win the league this season.
A couple of weeks ago, City were sitting a massive eight points behind Manchester United and it seemed like the team had fallen out of the title race.
However, with the difference between the two teams now being cut down to just three points and with City set to take on United on Monday night, just about anything can happen between the two teams, with both the teams being capable of winning the league
title.
When talking about winning the league and the fact that someone is watching over City’s shoulders, Toure is quoted to have said: “The club has wanted the Premier League for a long time”
“And in my opinion we have somebody who is trying to help us because to see United lead 4-2 [over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019] and end up 4-4 is incredible.”
He then revealed that everyone at the Etihad Stadium was buzzing, following the results of Sunday and hoped for the league to take another turn and bend in favour of City this time around.
The prolific midfielder then went on to add:
“We are very happy with the results and Sunday was a fantastic day for City. We have a second chance and I hope we take it because it is very important to us.”
“We have the team to win all the games. We have the quality and the mentality to win all these games.”
City have already gone on and beaten Untied by six goals to one earlier on in the season. At the moment, given the form that the two teams are showing over recent weeks, City might just look to be the stronger of the two teams.
Nonetheless, given the experience that United have at winning league titles and the fact that they have been dealing with pressure on countless occasions in the past, the team might be able to go on and end the title race on Monday night.
It is now a wait to see just who ends up winning the Premier League title this season.
