Manchester City’s Yaya Toure isn’t sure if Real Madrid are interested in signing him and will wait to make a decision over his future.
Yaya Toure went on to admit that he was more than happy with life at Manchester City, but his agent went on to reveal that the Ivory Coast international was now looking for a new challenge.
At the moment, the likes of Bayern Munich, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and even Real Madrid were being hailed as the favourites to sign the player.
In a recent interview, a Catalan radio station went on to question the player over the possibility of him making a move to Madrid.
In response to that, the towering midfielder went on to respond by stating: “We have to wait and see what happens. [Coach Jose] Mourinho has not called me.”
“I have hunger to continue and be better”
What is rather remarkable, is the fact that Toure made these comments, after he went on to win the league with Manchester City this season.
The midfielder was the pivotal force in the City squad, as he helped the team push on and close the gap in on United, before ultimately ending up winning the league title after forty four years.
However, when asked why he was back in Catalunya, Toure went on to explain that he had returned to meet his old friend, Eric Abidal, following him having a liver transplant back in April.
When talking about Abidal, Toure went on to state: “He is very well and in a good spirit”
At the moment, no one is quite sure over what Toure plans on doing in the future. The midfielder keeps on giving vague comments about his devotion to City, but at the same time his agent insists that he needs a new challenge.
Toure already gets paid over two hundred thousand pounds a week, so if his comments are related to his salary, then we can assume that the player has lost the love for the game and is now in it for the money.
Nonetheless, it is going to be a wait to see just where the player ends up next season.
