Me and my boyfriend want to travel around Italy, perferably going Como- Venice- Florence- Rome- Sorrento- Cannara- Tabiano Terme, or some like that. does anyone have any suggestion on what the easiest way to do this will be?

We have been advised that the Interrail passes are a good way of getting around but we need more advise on it before we go. we would like the trip to last for about 2 weeks x*x

  1. Trains in Italy are generally excellent but I would not recommend this sort of holiday if you are focusing on really discovering Italy. In fact train travel is not an ideal option better stay in one region and really get to know that region.

The type of holiday where you base yourself in one town or village, rent a place to stay and explore with your own car or hire car is the best way to discover Italy. The small villages, markets and traditions of this ancient land can only really be discovered in this way - not by train.

In Italy trains are perfect for visiting the major cities and towns. I first visited Italy by train on a Eurail Pass. It was a great first introduction to Italy and I saw all the main cities - the typical tourist cities of Rome, Florence and Venice, but I never really understood Italy or saw the real Italy.

  2. klearn some italian phrases of you want to know some email me at khashahrukh13@yahoo.com

  3. take the train and pay the extra few euro for first class   it is definatly worth it

  4. Well, there may be some tour buses you can take, but that may be expensive, unless you have enough on hand. You can also rent a car, and drive around.

I don't know much on the Interrail passes, but that sounds like a plan. You may want to talk with a professional, someone who knows the area well.
