Tourism in Toronto?

I've got a connection flight in Toronto, so I'll be there for three days in late June. What are some interesting things to do and see? I am very open-minded. And are things cheaper or more expensive then USA (California)? Last question, but definitely not least, drinking age in Canada is 19, correct?

BTW I'm 20, and I'll be by myself.

  1. u can see the nice igloos, maybe if ur lucky u can run into a mountie and see his horsie

  2. well there are no igloos in canada any more. if u are in the down town area there is: the cntower, the rogers center (aka sky dome take in a ball game if your into that). yes drinking age is 19 and over but some clubs have all ages nights. theres museums, parks, wards island (via ferry ride), lots of theatre shows, the eatons center is a great place for shopping. the underground pathways are interesting but u can get lost in them if u don't know where your going. look up toronto tourism on line and see what comes up.

i'm a resident of brampton ontario which is outside of toronto but used to live and go to work down town. we are also having some beautiful spring weather at the moment so its not always snowing either.

  3. Drinking age is 19.

Some fun things to do in Toronto if you want to do touristy things:

    - CN Tower

    - Toronto Zoo

    - Royal Ontario Museum

    - Art Gallery of Ontario

    - Bata Shoe Museum

Shopping and restaurants on Queen St. West are really cool and if you want to go clubbing there are some good ones around John St. and Richmond.

If you want to catch a movie there is the huge Scotiabank theatre at Richmond and John which also has a bar in it and tons of fast food places to eat inside.

Check out www.toronto.com for events during that time.

Also www.nowtoronto.com and www.eyeweekly.com are websites of a couple trendy free weekly Toronto newpapers that have a lot of listings for events/clubbing/concerts etc. in the city.

    Have fun!
