  1. 1.  The wait times vary depending on how busy they are, what time of year, and if they're plain grumpy.

    2.  The only "tricks" are to provide proof that's she's coming home.  Things like owning property or a car, a good paying job (especially if her job is willing to give her a letter stating that she's coming back), and family ties are the easiest ways.

    3.  If she's coming as a tourist, then a tourist visa.  B-2.

  2. Does she have strong ties to her home country? A grand jobs with large salary, properties, cars, a husband, a child? If she does not, forget it. She'll never get any visa.

"If you intend to travel as a tourist, you should be able to explain and prove how and when you plan to travel, where you plan to stay, and how you will pay for the trip. United States law specifies that you should prove “that is it reasonable to suppose that you will return to your place of origin once you have completed your trip.” In order to comply with this requirement, it is suggested that you present original documents that support your claim of economic solvency. Depending on your particular situation, you may wish to present original, recent bank statements (letters from banks are not acceptable substitutes), receipts of payroll and the pink copy of the Social Security registration if you are employed, your stamped income tax return if you are a business owner, documentation regarding your business, your tax receipt if you own property, your professional I.D., etc. "

Check with the embassy. Better call them and talk to them.

You are just wasting your time and money.
