  1. Take a break, there will be more big tournaments in your future and it won't take long for the sutures to heal up you knee.  Good Luck!

  2. You play!

Six weeks ago I had ripped my hand open with broken glass, received 12 stitches and was beside myself. Not only was I out of work for all that time, but I had 2 matches remaining in my Ultimate Tennis league and playoffs approaching. Fortunately I had enough points to qualify for the playoffs, and defaulted my last 2 matches. That gave me a bye into the semis, where I was hopeful of playing beign my hand was healing. I kept it lightly bandaged, and adjusted to my grip, and am thankful I did. I won my semi, and last week, my final.

You definitely make the attempt to play, cause wouldnt you rather lose trying, than having to deafult to injury. Just dont think about your knee and do what you do, and run, move about the court without hesitation. Keep it covered, so the chance of stitches opening, are not likely. Go for it!! Good luck!

  3. take advil right now. take advil for breakfast. take advil b4 da first match. if you cant run and cut your not playing. if you can hit a serve at 100% without pain and you can chase after a ball then you can play.

  4. Take your parents advice because from personal experience when I had about 4 stitches in a lower leg wound, the stitches expanded & left a very big scar. This happened because I was using my legs normally for walking etc, & if I had decided to take it easy to help the wound heal properly, I would have only been left with a minor scar instead of the very large one I now have. I know its hard that you really want to play in this tournament, but believe me, its not worth the risk of damaging the stitches & receiving a larger scar for life to look at.

    Cheers !
