I'm going to Ireland in March and was wondering what kind of tours to the Cliffs of Moor there are from Galway. How was the tour and what did it cost? Thank you so much!

  1. Firstly they're called The Cliffs of Moher and there are lots of bus tours running from Galway each day. Just find one that suits your timings. The Tourist info office will be able to assist you with that. They are reasonably priced and the tourist office should be able to get you what you want for a very small booking fee. The new interpretive center just opened on the Cliffs yesterday so it should give a better experience to the already spectacular sights!

  2. never heard of those cliffs

  3. Cliffs of Moher

This magnificent tour includes the most interesting aspects of the Burren to enable you to get the best possible view and knowledge of the changes which have occurred over the centuries. O'Neachtain professional tour guides will give you many stops to explore and photograph each area. Also giving you plenty of time at Ireland's most spectacular sea-cliffs, the famous Cliffs of Moher, which are 200m high and are extended for 8km long.

We depart Salthill at 9.50a.m. and Galway at 10.00a.m. through the village of Oranmore where the view of Galway Bay unfolds, next is on to Clarenbridge, home of the famous September Oyster Festival. The tour turns right at Kilcolgan on to the pretty fishing village of Kinvara. Our first stop will be at Dunguaire Castle, a 16th Century tower house which holds mediaeval banquets during the summer months. Next we view 12th Century Cistercian Abbey of Corcomroe and then on to Ballyvaughn. The tour stops at the famous Aillwee caves where our passengers have the choice of visiting the caves or enjoying tea and scones in the cafeteria before moving on to the centre of the Burren
